- Originally opened in 1926 as a vaudeville & silent movie theatre and hosted iconic performers, like Jimmie Rogers. In 1929, the "talkies" were introduced, and the theatre expanded the ceiling to allow for sound. From 1930s-1980s, the theatre served as a movie theatre & community hub, for Kerrville's people to gather and unify, until it closed in 1989. Since that time the theatre passed between many hands, who saved the theatre from destruction, preserving its historic location in DT Kerrville. In 2018, the theatre was donated to our non-profit & we began renovations. We restored it to its original 1920's facade, & updated the inside Art Deco elements. We built our bars from salvaged original wood flooring, converted the orchestra pit into a green room for artists, and added a beautiful outdoor space, with views of the stunning Texas Hill Country. When you come into the theatre, you are stepping back in time, & can see the years of history within the walls. We hope to see you soon
