Overview: Mayflower Wollam is built upon a tradition of excellence that's served Mahoning Valley for more than 50 years. MAYFLOWER In 1963, Gene Salvasi founded the Mayflower Agencies, which was a conglomeration of several insurance agencies in North Jackson The Harold Jones Agency, John Francis Agency and the Mary Nemes Agency. The Mayflower Agencies served Mahoning County residents, primarily in areas such as Lake Milton, Ellsworth and North Jackson, as well as Deerfield in Portage County. It also served residents in Austintown, Boardman, Canfield, Poland, Columbiana, Youngstown and Campbell. WOLLAM Wollam Insurance Group in Cortland had been serving residents in the northern end of Trumbull County since the 1940s. Ausmer Tuttle bought the agency from the Wollam family in the 1970s and owned it until he sold it to his son, William Tuttle, in the 1990s. MAYFLOWER WOLLAMÂ  In 2008, Palmer and Tuttle merged their agencies to form the Mayflower Wollam Insurance Group.
