LabCentral
LabCentral is a 70,000 square-foot facility located in the heart of Cambridge's Kendall Square, a hub for biotech innovation. This facility is designed to provide a platform for high-potential life-sciences and biotech startups. LabCentral offers fully permitted laboratory and office space for up to sixty startups, with a total of around two hundred scientists and entrepreneurs working in the facility. The Massachusetts Life Sciences Center provided two $5 million grants to fund LabCentral, with additional support from its real-estate partner MIT. Major sponsors of the initiative include Eppendorf, Roche, Johnson & Johnson Innovation and Triumvirate Environmental. LabCentral provides critical services and support to early-stage companies so they can begin laboratory operations quickly and efficiently. The facility comes with first-class facility and administrative support, skilled laboratory personnel, and a domain-relevant expert speaker series. In addition, LabCentral offers exclusive access to events, webinars, and other resources.
