Creativity Explored

Founded in 1984 in San Francisco by a psychologist and an artist in response to the nationwide de-institutionalization of disabled people in the United States, Creativity Explored is a nonprofit serving the neurodiverse community with the ethos that creative expression and art is a human right. The studio and gallery have welcomed hundreds of developmentally disabled artists and facilitated their careers in the contemporary art world locally in the Bay Area and internationally. Visitors enjoy stopping in often to see the changing exhibitions, to meet and visit with the artists and staff, and to shop for incredible and affordable original art. Utterly original and so very human, the artwork made by Creativity Explored artists will expand your definition of what makes an artwork beautiful. Explore portfolios of over 130 practicing disabled artists offering up their drawings, paintings, collages, ceramics, embroidery, fashions, prints, and multimedia creations – all for sale or pure enjoyment. The gallery is home to rotating exhibitions curated by the teaching artists and staff, well-known artists and art professionals, and of course, the Creativity Explored artists themselves. Consistently voted the Best Art Gallery and Best Nonprofit in SF Bay Guardian’s Best of the Bay Awards, this hidden gem in the popular and vibrant Mission District is a creative beacon, unlike any typical museum or gallery.

Gailani Designs

Susan Gailani has worked in the interior design industry since 1992, and her forte lies in window coverings. She has been involved in both residential and commercial projects, showcasing unique designs with an elegant touch. To stay current with the ever-evolving industry, Susan attends classes regularly and travels the globe to explore different cultures, art galleries, and historic sites. Her journey has taken her to Canada, Mexico, France, England, Denmark, Sweden, Spain, Germany, Italy, Malta, Turkey, Egypt, Syria, Lebanon, Jordan, Jerusalem, Saudi Arabia, Kuwait, and Iraq. From these destinations, Susan has gathered ideas that she incorporates into her luxurious designs. To back up her skills, Susan holds a BFA in Interior Design from the California College of the Arts and has two years of graduate work in the field. She also holds certifications from the Window Covering Association of America, Window Fashions and Real Estate Stager/Enhancer. With all this knowledge and experience, Susan is well-equipped to provide the highest quality of home interior designs through Gailani Designs.

Blue Mark Studios

Blue Mark Studios is an event venue, art gallery, and artists' cooperative situated in the thriving West Midtown Arts District of Atlanta, Georgia. Whether you're hosting a party, workshop, art opening, fashion show, movie screening, book signing, or even a wedding, we pride ourselves on offering a one-of-a-kind space with plenty of complimentary parking and permission to hire outside caterers. Located at 892 Jefferson Street, Blue Mark Studios adjoins Puritan Mills and the King Plow Art Center, making it just a stone's throw away from midtown and downtown Atlanta. The renovated 110 year-old church offers over 3,000 square feet of event space, including a gallery, artist studios, work suites, and a ballroom.
