Joia Jefferson Nuri is a public speaking trainer, message designer and speech and testimony writer. She has written keynote addresses, congressional testimonies and seven TEDx Talks, one of which was her own. During the Obama administration, she organized two Presidential Inaugural Balls and public policy conferences in the US and other countries. Joia's media experience began as a TV technician for NBC and CBS, and she was the first African American to be Technical Director for the CBS Evening News and Face The Nation. Then she moved on to senior producing jobs at BET, PBS and NPR affiliates, C-SPAN, and syndicated political talk shows. In 2002, she established her own company, In The Public Eye Communications. In 2012, she gave a keynote address on race and sports to the Organization for Security and Cooperation in Europe (OSCE) in Vienna, Austria. Joia is also an analyst on NewsOne Now with Roland Martin, WHUR, and other media outlets. Her goal is to help her clients build their public images through effective message strategies, presentation and media training.
