The Green Room
Michael and Anney Barrett opened The Green Room in 2013 to provide a warm and inviting studio environment for artistic pursuits in Somerville. As an entertainment hub, The Green Room offers music classes, jazz concerts and piano karaoke monthly. We also rent out our 500-square-foot space to people looking to host events, lectures or corporate meetings. We are delighted to be a place of creativity, self-expression and community spirit within the Union Square area.
The Green Room is staffed by musicians and teachers who share a love of the arts and a desire to bring opportunities to learn, create and perform to our neighbours. Our focus is to provide an intimate and versatile venue for people of all ages and disciplines to come together to celebrate the power of art.

Open Mind Art Space showcases contemporary art from a diverse blend of talented emerging artists from Los Angeles and beyond. We are dedicated to facilitating a curatorial process that allows our artists to create impactful work that inspires and challenges viewers to open their minds. We specialize in conceptual and experimental fine art by artists working primarily in painting, photography, sculpture, mixed media and installation art. Daylight Creative Space
Daylight Creative Space is the perfect place for your next shoot or event. Our studio, boasting over 1000 square feet of space, is filled with beautiful furnishings and hand-painted backdrops for maximum flexibility. With large windows flooding the room with natural light all day, you won’t be disappointed with the results! Our studio rental includes a variety of different props and furnishings, including two loveseats and a modern grey full-size sofa, a large white 6-10 person table and chairs, plants, luxury leather slingback chair, lamps, rugs, and one-of-a-kind chairs and stools. We also have additional furniture available upon request, such as kids chairs, bean bags, fabrics, blankets, and large black conference tables that seat 6-10. In addition to all of this, Daylight Creative Space also provides a range of equipment for use. We offer two freestanding backdrop stands, two heavy c-stands, multi-colored painted panels, two large v-flats (white), pony clamps, clothing steamer, sandbags, extension cords, a stepstool, handheld steamer, garment rack, paper backdrop rolls, custom painted canvas backdrops, airbed and bed linens, rolling cart, light kit and pocket wizards.
