Metropolitan Ballroom
Metropolitan Ballroom, situated in the center of Charlotte, NC, gives those eager to learn about dance the chance to do so in a luxurious yet casual setting. On a 3,000 square foot Danish maple floor, under the guidance of talented instructors, dancers can learn International and American Style Ballroom dances with plenty of options. Group classes are available for those looking to join in the fun, or private instruction is available for individuals, couples, and small groups. Beginner classes are held every Sunday at 3pm. This studio also gladly hosts any events that may arise. The team at Metropolitan Ballroom strive to create an enjoyable atmosphere for both experienced and novice dancers. Experienced instructors offer individualized instruction, tailored to the student’s needs, as well as group classes for all ages and skill levels. The welcoming staff make sure everyone is comfortable and having a good time while learning the art of dance.
Queen Bee's
Queen Bee's Art & Cultural Center is an incredible place in North Park that is devoted to supporting local artists, dancers, performers, and all members of the San Diego Community! Every week there are a number of different events. On Sunday nights, there are Bachata and Salsa lessons and dances from 7:30 PM till midnight. Monday night is Soulercize - Soul Line Dance Class. Tuesday night is Lyrical Exchange - Weekly Open Mic Night from 8:00 till 11:00. Wednesday night is East Coast Swing Dance Lessons and Dance 7:30 till Midnight. Finally, on Thursdays, there is Elevated Poetry Open Mic (on the first and third Thursdays). Queen Bee's is also available for private parties and corporate events. They can host company dinners and parties, luncheons and matinees (great for non-profits!), birthday and anniversary parties, holiday parties, client entertaining, wedding receptions, and charity fundraisers. 1st Class Entertainment is a wedding DJ business based in Austin, TX. We offer personalized services for weddings, school dances, corporate and charity events, fraternity and sorority parties, class reunions, and anniversary celebrations. Our team works with you to create a music plan and performance that perfectly matches your vision. We also provide wedding photo booth, reception lighting, and DJ services. Established in 2003, 1st Class Entertainment has come a long way. It all began with me, DJ Blake, playing at Johnny Fins and Carlos and Charlie's on Lake Travis. People kept asking me to play at private parties and weddings, and soon my business was booming with 50 weddings a year. In 2005, I moved to 6th Street clubs such as Fuel, Treasure Island, Dizzy Rooster, Vicci, and Pure. This is where I perfected my art of mixing and reading large crowds. In 2007, I started working with Casa Blanca for all their weddings and was highlighted as the best in The Knot magazine. In 2008, I started a new chapter in my life - being a father. This marked the end of nights downtown and the beginning of a more serious approach to 1st Class Entertainment. I hired DJs Jason Winn, Ron, Kris Bush, Syko, and Casey Cuts to join my team.
