After graduating from Mahtomedi, she continued her studies in Elementary Education with an emphasis on Writing at Concordia College in Moorhead. Joy then pursued her passion for education by working as an elementary school teacher and later in District Management for Sylvan Learning Centers for 9 years. During that time, she became well-versed in the Twin Cities roadways, neighborhoods and school districts as well as in sales and teaching techniques. She also had experience in researching markets for expansion and managing marketing and advertising for 17 franchises.This combination of skills and connections with many different people made Joy realize that real estate was the right career path for her. In 2005, she changed her career accordingly. As a White Bear Lake Real Estate Agent, Joy has been able to utilize her compassion and education to become successful. Kellerman's Event Center is located in a historic building in Downtown White Bear Lake. Our 4,000 square foot banquet room features 17-foot high exposed fir wood ceilings, hardwood floors, handcrafted European storefronts, a cozy 2,000 square foot lounge area with a bar and separate private bride's and groom's room. We also have a beautifully landscaped courtyard to make your event even more special. To add to the experience, The Alchemist, a craft cocktail bar with a unique menu and Steampunk style, is located in the same building. The State Room Banquet Hall

The State Room Banquet Hall offers a spacious venue for any special occasion. With a capacity of 410 people, the main hall can accommodate 360 guests, with an additional 50 people seated in the bar area. The 900 square foot parquet dance floor is surrounded by carpet and there is a raised stage area of 20' x 10' for DJs, bands, head tables and toasts. Parking is plentiful in the downtown area of South San Francisco. The hall includes rectangular tables and upholstered chairs, while round tables are available for an additional fee. It also has a house speaker's podium and PA system, as well as an elevator at the rear of the building. The State Room Banquet Hall is fully equipped with a full commercial kitchen that can be used by you or your caterer. It includes an 800 pound capacity ice machine, freezer, commercial refrigerator, Wolf stove with double oven, griddle, six burners and a stock pot stove. A commercial dishwasher is available on request. Lastly, there is a staff member on the premises or available during your event.

Twisted Oak American Bar and Grill

Twisted Oak American Bar & Grill is located in the Historic Downtown Statesville, and opened its doors in December 2013. Our extensive menu offers a wide range of American-style dishes, including steaks, burgers, seafood, pasta, and sandwiches. Our 24 taps feature craft beers from local NC breweries, and our unique whiskey and bourbon selection is sure to impress. We also have two private dining rooms and a banquet hall available for special events, such as wedding rehearsals and receptions, family reunions, corporate meetings, holiday parties, and birthday parties. We also host live music and concerts in both the bar area and the banquet hall, featuring bands like The Band of Oz, The Catalinas, and The Legacy Motown Revue. We have also collaborated with Statesville Theater to provide a venue for some of their most popular plays.
