In 2011, as Aneesa Sood was finishing her senior year of high school, she decided to take a stand against bullying by founding But Words Will Never Hurt Me, an anti-bullying program. This initiative was recognized in U.S. News and World Report and other publications.
A few years later, Aneesa published Freshman Fifteen: The Most Important Things I Learned in My First Year of College. She also began delivering presentations on academic success and self-esteem across schools, churches, and clubs.
Aneesa noticed that many students did not have the same support system she had through her involvement in Girl Scouts, Jack and Jill of America, Leadership University, and her church, New St. Luke Missionary Baptist in Jackson, TN. She discussed this with her mother, Mary Sood, who was the editor of Freshman Fifteen and often traveled with her daughter to speaking engagements.
It was during one of these trips in the summer of 2014 that Aneesa and Mary came up with the idea for Mom 'N' I Publishing, a company dedicated to providing students with the same encouragement and resources that Aneesa had received.

Allstate Insurance: Heidi Rowan
I have been an Allstate Insurance: Heidi Rowan agent since 2004, and based in my Happy Valley office since 2007. My team and I are committed to giving back to the community, from helping raise money for a customer's granddaughter's brain tumor treatment to supporting Allstate's anti-texting-and-driving program and sponsoring local sports teams. My husband Brad and I are the proud parents of daughter Alexis, who loves horses. We live on ten acres of land and have around 475 blueberry plants, which produce lots of apples, plums and cherries. We also have 11 chickens, providing fresh eggs. We hope to add more farm animals in the future. In my spare time, I enjoy canning, jam-making, travel, music and food.
