Caswell House

The Daniel H. Caswell House is an elegant Victorian mansion located close to the state capitol, 6th Street and the University of Texas. It is the ideal venue for weddings, receptions, rehearsal dinners, holiday and anniversary parties, fundraisers and business meetings. The house is owned and managed by Austin Jr. Forum, a women's volunteer service organization. It provides a spectacular setting for small to medium-sized weddings and events at a reasonable price. Brides are free to bring caterers of their own choice, regardless of whether they are on our recommended vendor list or not. We welcome visitors to tour our beautiful Victorian home during business hours. It is situated at the corner of West Avenue and 15th Street, with on-site parking. The mission of the Gore Place Society is to promote and preserve the 1806 estate of Christopher and Rebecca Gore as an educational resource to demonstrate early 19th century American life. The estate still has a small farm with sheep, goats, poultry, and a Farm Stand which sells vegetables produced with organic practices.
