MOCA is the only museum in Los Angeles devoted exclusively to contemporary art.
It is committed to the collection, presentation, and interpretation of work produced since 1940 in all media, and to preserving that work for future generations. In a remarkably short time, MOCA has developed one of the nation's most renowned permanent collections. Now numbering over 6,800 works and steadily growing, this invaluable cultural resource provides extensive opportunities for education and enjoyment to thousands of national and international visitors.
Today the museum is housed in two unique facilities: MOCA Grand Avenue and The Geffen Contemporary at MOCA.

Phoenix Art Museum
Phoenix Art Museum has provided access to visual arts and educational programs in Arizona for 60 years and is the largest art museum in the Southwestern United States. Each year, more than 300,000 guests engage with critically acclaimed national and international exhibitions and the Museum's collection of more than 20,000 works of American and Western American, Asian, European, Latin American, modern and contemporary art, and fashion design. The Museum also presents vibrant photography exhibitions made possible through the Museum's landmark partnership with the Center for Creative Photography, University of Arizona. The Museum is open Wednesday-Sunday and open to the public with voluntary-donation admission during the First Friday of every month from 3-7 pm and every Wednesday from 3-7 pm. Palette Restaurant is open. The Lemon Research Library is closed at this time.
Seattle Art Museum
The Seattle Art Museum (SAM) offers a unique experience with its 35 international galleries, featuring more than 2,600 objects. The museum has something to offer everyone, ranging from the Australian Aboriginal Gallery, which is the only one of its kind in the US, to the Modern and Contemporary Galleries, home to an impressive Korean coat made of 40,000 dog tags. Those seeking a traditional experience can visit the 16th century Italian Room, while families can check out the Family Room, filled with toys and learning activities. Villa Terrace Decorative Arts Museum
Villa Terrace Decorative Arts Museum is a stunning Italian Renaissance-style villa located on the shore of Lake Michigan. Designed by renowned architect David Adler in 1923, the museum was originally the home of Lloyd Smith and his family and displays fine and decorative art from the 15th through 18th centuries, wrought-iron masterpieces by Cyril Colnik, and a formal garden. Additionally, the museum regularly features changing exhibitions from local, regional, and international artists. Phoenix Art Museum

Voluntary-donation times occur every Wednesday from 3 to 7 pm and the first Friday of every month from 3 to 7 pm.
