First Option Studio Hire is located in a private courtyard in the center of Shoreditch. This Victorian zip and suspender factory, which has been in use for over three decades, is a versatile 2000 sq ft space designed for film, TV and stills production, as well as events.

The studio consists of a 1000 sq ft area with a split level design, a 500 sq ft bespoke kitchen, and a smaller 230 sq ft preparation kitchen. The main studio area can be accessed by a spiral staircase, leading to a mezzanine level of 204 sq ft that includes thirty feet of built-in desks and worktops. This space is perfect for a production office or storage/holding area.

The high-pitched roofs of both the studio and the kitchen boast Scotts pine trusses and sanded wooden floors, while the main kitchen features marble and wooden worktops, as well as a mobile island with a built-in hob. To aid lighting, there is also a glass balcony, allowing minimal need for cranes.

The studio is ideal for daylight shooting, as it receives natural light from both the north and south, but can also achieve full blackout.
