Manhattan Screen Print
Manhattan Screen Print offers an Eco-Friendly option for the fashion industry. Until now, this has meant using water based ink as the only choice for screen printing on garments. This ink is of PVC and Phthalate chemicals, and results in a soft print feel. Foil is also available as an option. It involves printing an adhesive onto the fabric and then covering it with foil to give a bright, mirror-like finish. Discharge is used to print lighter colors onto dark background fabrics. This works by removing the dye from the garment and replacing it with ink, creating a much softer texture. Waterbase inks are ideal for printing darker inks onto lighter colored garments, and penetrate the fabric more than plastisol inks. They also provide a good alternative to other non-PVC plastisol inks.
