About the Business
Paint the Town is a DIY ceramics painting studio located in University Village. It's the perfect place to bring out your inner artist, no matter what age you are! You can simply come in and paint anytime, or book a party for 6 or more to have it held in our back party room. We cater to all occasions, including but not limited to children's birthday parties, corporate team-building events and bridal showers. We also provide off-site painting services if you'd like us to come to your school, sorority, home or office.
We're a great resource for schools, as we can bring our services to your class for a creative field trip, or even set you up with what you need for class auction projects. Every summer we offer multiple week-long sessions of Kids Art Camp, where we engage kids in a variety of arts and crafts such as ceramic painting, clay hand-building, decoupage, papier mache and fabric art. Come to Paint the Town for a chance to explore and unlock your creative potential!

- Paint the Town was opened November 1, 1995 by Seattle native Mary Anne Stusser. Mary Anne, a former elementary school teacher, was looking for a new career that incorporated both her love of children and her love of anything colorful. She happened upon a contemporary ceramics painting studio while on vacation in Sun Valley, and immediately thought "Seattle needs one of these!" 3 months later she signed a lease with U. Village, bought 2 kilns, hired 7 students from the U.W. ceramics department, and the rest is history.
